COORDINATOR VACANCY
The Fringe Arts
Trust is currently seeking an exceptional person to assist with the planning
and organisation of the 2009 New Zealand Fringe Festival.
Incorporated in
1993, The Fringe Arts Trust is presenting its 16th annual New Zealand Fringe
Festival in 2009 (Fringe 09).
The festival has
grown from just a handful of acts in a few venues to over 100 productions in
more than 50 venues all over the Wellington region. We are a much loved part of
the New Zealand arts calendar, with a strong brand that is recognised
internationally for innovation in the arts and the creative spirit of Kiwi
ingenuity.
As deemed by her
Worship the Mayor, Kerry Prendergast, Fringe Festival is a ‘Signature’
event. It is unique and vital to the
development of arts for our city and New Zealand.

The Festival
Coordinator is a key position for the trust, responsibilities include office
operations, volunteer coordination, providing support for sponsors/funders and
artist & venue liaison.
The working hours are
approximately 40 hours a week, 9am-5pm at the Fringe Office in the Wellington
Arts Centre. Note that additional hours will be required during the pre-Christmas
and festival periods.
This
is a fixed-term contract for services from 22 September 2008 - 27 March 2009 (27
Weeks) with a possibility of the role becoming full time.
